We were impressed by the scale and quality of the projects our strategic partner in Baja California is undertaking. A standout example is a 20-m high slope stabilization project for a new industrial park to be developed on a slope overlooking critical infrastructure, including a railway line and a major dam—definitely not the kind of design-build assignment that comes around for everyone.

We also had the privilege of visiting the site. Incredibly, it gave us the opportunity to reconnect with friends and colleagues we hadn’t seen in 20 years, and to share very joyful moments.

Additionally, we learned about the latest technologies in design and installation for Deep Soil Mixing (DSM) from one of the most reputable geotechnical contractors. The equipment, the professionalism of the team, and the quality of the work were truly impressive.

These three weeks were full of new experiences: we learned about newer soil improvement techniques, installation methods, and built even stronger relationships. We remain in touch with our regional colleagues to continue sharing knowledge and staying connected.
